Edible San Luis Obispo Magazine Feature
San Luis Obispo based artisan Lindy LaRoche is a heart-centered maker and owner of Poppy Soap. She creates organic, handmade soaps “on a give back mission.” Poppy Soap Co.’s focus has revolved around a “bar for bar” philosophy; for every bar of Poppy Soap purchased online or in stores, a bar of soap is donated to a women’s shelter in their local community. Edible San Luis Obispo Magazine offered Lindy a feature spread that would highlight how to make your own all natural, organic skincare/beauty product. I was overjoyed to provide the brand photography that would bring her vision to life during a collaborative styling session.
In the feature, “Make your own Healing Salve,” Lindy shared a recipe with readers. The salve was infused with calendula and incorporated locally grown and harvested olive oil. This was an all-natural, locally made, organic calendula salve. She desired photos that were bright, airy, and cheerful. We wanted her all natural ingredients to shine in this DIY-style natural beauty project.
